Robot Lending Terms and Conditions

By participating in the MiROS Coding Challenges and borrowing a robot for testing purposes, the borrower agrees to comply with the following terms and conditions:

1. Loan Period

1.1 The robot must be borrowed and returned within the agreed appointment schedule.

1.2 Late returns may result in penalties, including disqualification from the competition or additional fees.

2. Robot Condition

2.1 The robot must be returned in the same condition as it was lent, without damages or missing parts.

2.2 The borrower is responsible for inspecting the robot upon receipt and must report any pre-existing issues immediately to the organiser.

3. Responsibility for Damages and Missing Parts

3.1 The borrower is fully responsible for any damages incurred during the loan period.

3.2 The borrower agrees to:

• Repair the damages or replace the damaged parts at their own expense.

• Compensate the organiser for any missing parts, as assessed by the organiser.

4. Verification of Identity

4.1 The borrower agrees to provide an image of themselves holding a valid photo ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license, or student card).

4.2 The borrower’s photo ID will only be used for verification purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

5. Contact Information

5.1 The borrower must provide accurate and verifiable contact information, including:

• Full legal name

• Mobile number

• Email address

• Home address

5.2 Failure to provide accurate information may result in disqualification from the competition.

6. Liability and Indemnification

6.1 The organiser is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from the borrower’s use of the robot.

6.2 The borrower agrees to indemnify the organiser against any claims arising from their use of the robot.

7. Agreement and Compliance

7.1 By borrowing the robot, the borrower confirms their acceptance of these terms and conditions.

7.2 Failure to comply with these terms may result in penalties, including:

• Immediate retrieval of the robot by the organiser.

• Disqualification from the MiROS Coding Challenges.

• Legal action for compensation in cases of significant damage or loss.
